Treasure hunt Stardark
You open the door to a cozy room. Side tables, couches, and cushions fill the space. Large windows offer a view on the garden. Curtains block part of the view, and the last light of the day shines through the fabric to bathe the room in a golden glow.
A dog with creamy white fur lies curled up in its basket in front of the middle window. The animal sleeps with its long snout on its equally long legs.
Outside, a man walks with a garden shovel in his hand. He is middle-aged, the same age as the professor. This must be her husband. He looks fit, until you see his haircut. Blue tufts mar his otherwise black hair. Your throat squeezes shut. This guy is addicted to mir! And not to a small extent either, considering the bright hue of those blue locks. You've never seen the man before, but you spontaneously feel sorry for him.
Mir is a gift and a curse at the same time. The liquid can keep a person alive under the most terrible circumstances - but it cannot heal the wounds suffered. Even numbing the pain is not always possible. The stuff is strongly addictive, though. And it gives you blue hair. You have to love that too.
There are rumors going around among students that the war between Alnustan and Gubarstan had left a mark on Professor Nagas' husband. No one would have thought it was this bad, though. What had happened to him? How bad is his addiction? You dare not ask. You no longer even dare to be here. After all, this is not the room Latif had pointed out to you. Before Haider sees you - and that dog wakes up - you leave the living room and close the door.
