A template for geographically correct fantasy worlds

Erasmuscon is over; it was a great event where science fiction and fantasy nerds come together to chat about science fiction and fantasy things. I could tell you in great detail what it all was about, but eh, I would rather be lazy than tired. Robin Rozendal has made a very cool video that can explain it all much better than I can, so check it out:

I was part of the team responsible for the program. If you are told that there were more fun things on the agenda than people had time for, then we must have done something right. There were lectures, panels, workshops ... And a few of those workshops came from me. It was so much fun!

One was about making fantasy maps. I'm an earth scientist, though, so I look at mountains, rivers and coastlines just a little differently than most people do. I crammed all those years of study I crammed into a 45-minute workshop - don't ask me how... And that workshop was popular! Unfortunately, not everyone could join. Luckily, I have written down the instructions and made a template, so you can try it at home.

Have fun with it! Let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help!

And finally, have some imagery of Erasmuscon, including my contribution to the art show that was going on during the con. I sold more prints than I expected! I had A3 art prints on fancy paper and A5-sized postcards. I have some leftovers, so if you're interested in buying something, let me know! Seriously, my mum will claim all the loot otherwise, haha!
