The past two weeks really have flown by! Sterrenduister is out and wow, I got such a response! So many orders! The post office has become my second home, haha! And the living room itself also looked like a post office.
My book may have been published by my publisher Zilverspoor, but that doesn't mean I don't have to do anything. I have a decent stack of books I can sell independently. It's for people who want a signed copy, or for events where I want to sell books without my publisher. That was a quite delivery - just look at the unboxing video!
Sterrenduister has turned out so beautifully! I am very happy with the cover (after all, things always look different on a screen than in real life) and with the drawings in the book. I want to read it again, haha! Anyway, there's no time, because the books really need to travel to their ultimate owner. And I wanted to make something beautiful out of those shipments too. For the fastest orders I had a goodie bag with a mini watercolour painting, a pendant and a bookmark - all homemade. And those goodie bags ran out pretty fast... Fortunately, I still have enough star charts, also homemade, to give away.
It feels like the unboxing happened only yesterday. Yet there are people who already finished the book and left a review!
A beautiful story about difficult choices, between the tension of personal feelings and what is better for someone else. A nice couple of main characters who really feel like they have been relying on each other for years.
Wonderful worldbuilding that truly drags you into the story. Finished it in one go.
I find the book surprising, exciting and an unexpected ending! I finished it in one sitting. The drawings are beautiful! I enjoyed it!
